“Boronia and The Basin Community News” is a free monthly community newspaper distributed to some 13,000 premises in the 3154 and 3155 postcodes in the City of Knox. Papers are also available at points in Kilsyth and Ferntree Gully. This area of Victoria is part of the Kulin cultural nation, which occupied Central Victoria around Port Phillip Bay and into the upper reaches of the Golburn and Lodden Rivers. Knox stands on the edge of the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri and the Bunurong.
