Are you safe at home?

Listen

In Knox, 58% of all assaults in 2022 were family violence related (Crime Statistics Agency, 2022). This is a staggering statistic that affects our entire community.

Family violence is, and continues to be, a major health and welfare issue. While physical violence may be the most visible, other forms of family violence can include verbal abuse, emotional abuse, controlling behaviours, stalking, financial abuse and pet abuse.

Council is committed to working towards a community free from violence as we recognise the wide-ranging and damaging impact family violence has on the lives of victims-survivors and the community as a whole.

Support is available.
