Nearly no Easter!
It was Easter morning. I woke up and rubbed my weary eyes and gave a big yawn as I got up out of bed to wake my sleepy little sisters. When we were all up we went into the hall and something caught my eye, a splotch of blood. It wasn’t dry and nobody had been up, so who was bleeding? I quickly checked my watch to check the time it was 3:00am. I peered out of the door to the lounge
and saw the Easter Bunny! He was sobbing quietly. I pushed open the door gently and sat down next to the sobbing bunny and asked him what happened, he said that when he was coming
back from putting Easter eggs outside he tripped over the step in the lounge and cut his foot so badly that he couldn’t hop. I asked him to show me the wound. It was a very large cut running down his foot. I knew what to do, so I asked my sister to get me a wet towel.
When she came back I took the towel and dabbed the Easter bunny’s sore foot. That stopped the bleeding, next I needed my other sister to get me some bandages. She came back with some strong
bandages and I wrapped them around the Easter bunny’s foot so that he could hop again. The Easter bunny got up and hopped around gleefully.
Once he stopped he gave us a giant hug and said thank you so much for helping me, now I have to get going so that I can deliver all the eggs on time.
With that he hopped out the door. We woke up the next morning to find a mountain of chocolate and lollies with a note on the bottom
“Thank you”
